Ingredients:

1 whole chicken

Pot of water

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

2 TBSP butter

1 cup milk

1 can cream of chicken soup

Put chicken in pot with water and salt and pepper to taste. Boil until chicken is done. Remove chicken and let cool. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut butter in with fork. Stir in milk until dough forms a ball. Heavily flour your work surface. Roll out the dough thin and cut with a knife or pizza cutter into strips 2″ x 3″ – does not need to be exact. Bring broth back to a slow boil and add cream of chicken soup to broth. Drop dumplings in 1-2 at a time – do not stir. Keep adding dumplings – when about half are added, start pushing them down into the broth – continue until all dough is added to the pot. They will begin to rise as they cook. When finished cooking, shred chicken and add back to the pot. Add pepper and salt to taste. Enjoy!
